I've heard of 'em, and tryed them and mine worked to a point i tried program the sheild to vibrate at the "opposite" frequency of the incoming sound when a dip hits abump ofthe same magnitude and frequency in sound they cancle each other out. Thats what i tried to git mine to do. I know my scientific terms aren't at all scientific, but i hope you git the point. I am not quite shure if this actually cancelled out some sound ,or by visualizing this i just changed my perceptions of the sounds. either way it is possible

Could you reverse the shield so you make no sound?

I've never heard of a tutorial for one, but like i said just try to visualize a sheild that bounce, deflects, or other wise gets rid of sound waves I think the louder the sound the harder it would be to stop it. Mine was only made to filter out ambient noise. Not like a TV, or something crazy loud.

Psiguy, your terms made perfect sense to me, lol. I love science, and was recently studying the same phenomenon with light. If a crest and a troph of light of the same magnitude meet, they cancel eachother out, and you see nothing. Which leads me to believe that not only would this be a great technique for making a shield to block out sound or make you soundless, but could also be a great technique for a cloaking shield! |

Raising an interesting point. Practice making shileds that make sounds (I have heard of people attempting this, but no follow-up on whether they were successful or not). Then it would be a mtter of programming to emit the "equal and opposite" wave.

I imagine you'd need to be quite good at PK though.

If you have a stereo audio source you can invert one channel then put them both into a mono format. I use this quite often when canceling voices out of songs.
